ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) – Today’s 98.3 TRY social dilemma came from Arianna and it’s all about haircuts. Here is his email:
Hello Jaime. I’m a longtime fan of your show and hope you can use my question for your social dilemma. I need a little parenting advice from everyone. I am an elderly single mother with a 13 year old son and all her life I have chosen her haircut and style without complaint. Now all of a sudden he wants to choose his haircut and we don’t agree on anything. He wants this crazy Mohawk thing and I think it looks ridiculous. I know at some point I won’t be able to control what he will have, but right now I can’t stand having a kid with a crazy haircut. The problem is that some of his friends have this haircut, which does not make things easier. So what should I do? Should I just give in or is 13 years old still too young to decide on your own hairstyle? Thank you I like

Well, I say, let the kid have the crazy haircut. Why not? It doesn’t hurt anyone and it’s a way of expressing yourself. I don’t think 13 is too young to decide on your own hairstyle. But that’s just me, and of course, I don’t have kids. LOL.
