ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) – Today 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma is from Mary, and it’s about Continental Breakfasts. Here is his email:

Hi Jaime. My husband and I visited his parents in Virginia for Thanksgiving. We split the trip into two days to see a few sights there and back. We stayed in a nice budget hotel with a sweet continental breakfast. Four hours into the start of our second day on the road, I pull out a banana, a bagel, and a small box of cereal for a snack. My husband asked me if I stole it from the breakfast bar. I said, “No, I took these items from a breakfast I paid for.” He insisted that this is not the way a continental breakfast works. He said you are only allowed to eat what you can while you are there. It’s the same concept as an all-you-can-eat buffet. My husband thinks what I did was technically theft. What he doesn’t know is that I had about seven other items that I never told him about. I am not ashamed. I paid it! We are both firm in our convictions. So, I was curious what you were thinking. Am I the moron for having had all this continental breakfast food? Thank you very much Jaime

~ Marie

Well, I don’t think Mary is a jerk. But it looks like she’s gone a little crazy. If she had a banana or a bagel I wouldn’t think about it much, but it looks like she’s really been in town, so in this case I’m with her husband. I think it’s theft.

What do you think? Let me know on the TRY Facebook page.
